- Here our CAE group has mimicked the behavior of a formable sheet when it is inserted into an injection-molding tool and then under-molded with a plastic resin. The analysis accurately predicts wrinkling, tearing, and general deformations of the sheet material. However, this simulation does not take into consider the flow characteristics of polymer and is therefore not suitable for processes that are largely influenced by the flow properties substrate polymer.
