- For this injection-molded bumper fascia we've very accurately determined the flow patterns that result from the use of a system of three hot-runner gates. Colors indicate the pressure distribution as the tool fills with a polypropylene resin. Gate locations are optimization through CAE analysis, eliminating the need for expensive and time-consuming production trials. CAE also makes possible definitive predictions of required clamping forces as well as potential warping problems of the actual molded part.
